Few Things

perhaps we need to think more about targeting the youth audience first, they are the ones who will be the future so it makes sense to get them savng energy first.
The main character also been a dad this would make it slightly easier to do.
Also look at the energy star website:

they are trying to do the same thing but they are failing because the website and image itself is pretty bland, what we do would need to be younger in appearence, and more accesible, we need to make energy saving less mundane. Perhaps even immeadiatly rewarding.
